Tomorrow we are going over to the Marine side of the base to tour the Prowlers, this should be very exciting! Then we are out processing and cleaning our weapon and putting them in a case to go back home but we have to go to a secured location for a few days then we are going to Boise spending the night then heading back to PA the next day. Our tentative date of arrival in PA is 21 August 07. If any of you have any questions you can e-mail my aol account and as soon as I can check it I will and answer any questions. Well I will close for now and thank you everyone for reading my blogs.

Caliente!!!!!!!!

Here are some pictures of me and some people I work with, some are me getting an award, and one of me getting in the cockpit.
These are of me at the thermometer to prove how hot it is, and that's in the shade. The one I'm sucking on ice to try cooling off.

Hello,I've been waiting on some questions. I don't know how much longer I will have access to e-mail. We finally got our official out processing date to leave here, looks like we will be leaving within 13 days, then heading to another secure location in Iraq before heading back to the states. Nothing is concrete but I'm certainly happy they have a plan. I will do my best to at least inform you before they cut my e-mail unless they just cut us out of the system to register the new people coming in. Nothing new is happening, we still have not gotten any details on what exactly happened to our pilot. The Marine side of the house is dealing with outrageous numbers of deaths daily. I always say a prayer for them and wish them well before they head out on any kind of mission or convey. I had an opportunity to drive a heavy armed HUM-V, it was so incredible! I will keep looking for any e-mails and I will keep you informed of any action. I will give you my other e-mail, it will be easier to remember: AngeliaHec@aol.com. Also I could probably tell you more on that account regarding any questions you may have because its untraceable. Until next time, take care!

Always,Angie

Craziness

Hello,

It's been a little crazy over here. I'm sure by now you all heard about our F-16 Pilot who was killed. I knew about it 10 minutes after it happened because they requested our A-10 planes out there for crash and recovery. We never ran so fast in our lives to get these planes off the ground and in the air for support. We had luck of recovering the plane. The Iraqis got to it before us, this is when you are grateful that your dead! No one would ever want to be a POW with these crazy people. They love to torture with drills, could you imagine? I'm very grateful I am not a ground troop. Last night we had 5 people come into the hospital, one died. No details on what happened to them, still waiting on details. Other than that we have nothing else going on. I will e-mail you soon or when something happens.
Until then, Take care...

We ain't goin' nowhere!

Hello Everyone,

It been interesting over here, as usual. It turns out we bombed a few Iraqians once again and they never saw it coming, that was the best part. Before long the way things are going, they will just give up! That would make us all happy. We fly alot of missions so we can get the bad guys. I have to tell you, those Marines and Army are incredible. They are so brave and really just have their hearts in getting out there and getting the job done. Our pilots come back after a four hour flight and are mad because they didn't get a chance to drop any bombs. Our planes really take a beating with always flying. Nothing to extreme has happened since the last time I wrote. Things are kinda quiet, maybe they are finally realizing we're not leaving! Rumor has it we are rotating out people as planned, no one in my unit has been extended as of now. I'm hoping to be back before your class is over so I can meet you all, that way you can ask me questions to. Sorry I don't have more to tell you.

Until next time,
Angie

Tuskegee Airmen,
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the loss of two valued
Tuskegee Airmen. Earlier yesterday, an OSI Det 2410 convoy was
conducting a mission near Kirkuk AB in support of the 506 Air
Expeditionary Group when the convoy was struck by a roadside IED. OSI
Special Agents Ryan Balmer and Matthew Kuglics were both killed as a
result of injuries sustained during the attack. Mr. Kava Ari, an OSI
linguist, was injured but is in stable condition. SA Balmer and SA
Kuglics were exceptional warriors and Airmen who died while protecting
over 5,000 Airmen and Soldiers assigned to the 506 AEG and Kirkuk AB.
They are both heroes. Ryan is survived by his wife and three children.
Matt is survived by his mother and father. The 332 AEW will conduct
Memorial services at Balad and Kirkuk in honor of these two fallen
heroes later this week. The date, time and exact loaction will be
announced as soon as possible. The Balmer and Kuglics families, the
entire OSI community in Iraq and across the USAF, and all of us in the
332 AEW will mourn the deaths of SA Balmer and SA Kuglics. Please
remember all of them in your thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks
ahead.

View from above

Hello everyone,It's been over a week and it's still crazy over here, we have so many ground troops out and about. We had a convoy out for the last 5 days, all of there vehicles got destroyed by either being blown up (thank god while no one was in them) or shot at while traveling through. Lucky for us, no one was hurt! I know you all probably heard about the soldier they found, he was one of the 3 still missing (the ones they saw drug into the house last week). At this point he was not 100% identified but almost certain who he is. It's very sad, you talk to these people everyday in passing from point A to B, then one day they are gone. It feels like someone ripped your heart out. I have to admit the Marines are taking the brunt of it all, they are the ones on the ground. I support the air missions. Daily we support the ground troops from the air, we can see everything that is happening. That is our way of accounting for our troops and getting them help when in trouble. But the down side is we can see it from the air but getting the ground troops to a specific location for back-up or rescue is not so easy. Our only other option is to bomb the troubled area below and we can't do that if our people are within a certain proximity. Last week we had some outsiders on base with AK-47's, the base went on lock down while they hashed it all out. That happened about 100 ft from where I live but thankfully I was at work. On the other hand my roommate was still at the room so I patiently waited for her to arrive at work, she showed up about 2 hrs later, that was probably one of my weakest moments. Over here we (Air Force) are all very close and watch out for one another, we are in close enough proximity so we don't usually have anyone out of site. I will close for now, keep praying, we can all use it!
